Rex Antinozzi, M.D., A.G.A.F.
Dr. Antinozzi is a graduate of Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA and Jefferson University Medical School in Philadelphia, PA. He received further training at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Following a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Michigan Medical Center in 1987, he came to Traverse City. Dr. Antinozzi is a board certified gastroenterologist. He has also been awarded a fellowship through the American Gastroenterological Association. |

Robert Barnes, M.D.
Dr. Barnes has been practicing gastroenterology with Digestive Health Associates since 1992. Prior to that, his education included undergraduate training at the University of Notre Dame, followed by medical school at Wayne State University. Dr. Barnes completed his internship, residency, chief residency, and gastroenterology training at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He is a board certified gastroenterologist. |

Mark V. Galan, M.D.
Dr. Galan earned his undergraduate degree at Michigan State University. After receiving his M.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Dr. Galan completed his gastroenterology training at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in gastroenterology. |

Jeffrey Goldman, M.D., F.A.C.G., A.G.A.F.
Dr. Goldman joined Digestive Health Associates in 2010. He earned his BA from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL and his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. Following an internship and residency at New York University Medical Center Bellevue Hospital, he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology through the University of Miami at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. Dr. Goldman is a board-certified gastroenterologist and is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology. |

Montgomery Hegewald, M.D.
Dr. Hegewald graduated from the University of Notre Dame and attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle. He completed a gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals of Cleveland. Dr. Hegewald has been in practice in Traverse City since 2000. He is board certified in gastroenterology. |

Kurt Sanford, M.D.
Dr. Sanford earned his B.S. from Western Michigan University and his M.D. from Michigan State University. He completed his residency at the Southwest Michigan Area Health Education Center in Kalamazoo. A gastroenterology fellowship at Michigan State University was followed by a hepatology fellowship at King’s College in London, England. Prior to coming to Traverse City, Dr. Sanford was an assistant professor of clinical medicine at Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, NH. He is a board certified gastroenterologist. |

Sue Coffin, P.A.-C.
Sue Coffin joined the Traverse City office of Digestive Health Associates in 2003. Her educational background includes a B.S. in clinical laboratory sciences with a concentration in cytology and an M.S. in physician assistant studies, both from Wayne State University. She worked as a cytotechnologist while completing her master’s degree and has also been involved in the fields of internal medicine and family practice. |

Krystal Auernhamer, P.A.-C.
Krystal Auernhamer received her B.S. in biology from Alma College. She worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) at Masonic Pathways in Alma before and during her graduate studies. Krystal earned her M.S. as a physician assistant from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant. She joined Digestive Health Associates in 2008. |
