Traverse City, MI, February 13, 2015– Montgomery Hegewald, M.D., a gastroenterologist with Digestive Health Associates of Northern Michigan (DHA), has been inducted as a fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA).
Fellowship is an honor bestowed by the AGA for superior professional achievement in practice and/or research in the field of gastroenterology. As a fellow, he has demonstrated that he has met a strict set of criteria that have been recognized by his peers and his community.
Dr. Hegewald has been with Digestive Health Associates for 15 years. He has active privileges at Munson Medical Center and Northwest Michigan Surgery Center and consulting privileges at other local hospitals. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, he attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle followed by a gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
